Please join us at the Orlando World Center Marriott for three days of conference activities, October 15 – 17. The Designation Academy is October 13-14 onsite.

Transportation and Recommended Travel Dates

Our Saturday Night Party kicks off the conference on October 14; we encourage you to arrive in time for the festivities, which begin at 8:30 p.m. Our conference closes with our popular Industry Roundtables, which conclude at 5 p.m. on October 17.
The Orlando International Airport (MCO) is 17 miles from the Orlando World Center Marriott. Taxi service is estimated at $55 each way. Mears Shuttle Service and SuperShuttle offer shared ride shuttle services for less than $40 per round trip.

This year we are shaking things up at ARMA Live!, both in our education and networking activities, to enrich your skills and your professional connections.

Education

We’re beginning a multi-year transition of our conference education so that it becomes more of an experiential learning program.

You will have opportunities to participate in a “flipped learning” virtual pre-conference with follow-up workshops.

And, you can take part in “learning labs” where you get actively involved in solving problems and finding solutions; and in “featured” sessions with hand-picked facilitators who will guide you into the future of information.

Saturday Night Party

This signature reception on Saturday night will feature games, prizes, opportunities for networking, and a sneak peek of a conference highlight – the Expo Hall. ARMA will provide light snacks and a cash bar. Admittance is free.

Industry-Specific Networking

You don’t have to wait to find your industry peers at the Industry Roundtables on Tuesday; you can begin networking as soon as you check in at registration! You’ll be given a colored wrist-band specific to your industry. Just wear it throughout conference. Every time you see someone with the same color as you, it’s an opportunity to network and get the most of your conference experience!

First-Time Participants

You’ll see lots of name badges throughout conference. Anytime you see a red badge-holder, be sure to extend a warm welcome because he or she is a first-time conference participant! If you’re wearing one of those red badge-holders, introduce yourself to those around you and make the most of your first time at ARMA Live! And remember to stop by the First-Time reception on Saturday afternoon to get the party started early!

ARMA Flipped! Sessions

The flipped sessions consist of four practical web seminars with live text chat, SMEs, and solution providers in a virtual exhibit hall. Part one provides the content instruction in an online virtual conference on August 29, which you can attend from your home or office. Part two provides hands-on application of the online instruction in a follow-up, face-to-face workshop at the ARMA Live! 2017 conference. You must take part in the online virtual conference if you wish to participate in the ARMA Flipped! onsite workshops.

Anyone with a full conference registration is automatically registered for ARMA Flipped!

Rooms are conveniently located in the Marriot World Center at the ARMA reduced rate of $248 single/double, $268 triple, and $288 quad (plus taxes and fees). Reservations can be made during the registration process. To change a reservation that’s been completed, e-mail ARMAMEETINGS@worldtek.com

What is included with a full conference registration?

  • Access to three days of education sessions

Are partial registrations an option?

One-Day Plans. You can choose to attend any one of the three days for a set daily rate of $600 Regular or $500 Professional Member. You’ll get full access to anything a full registrant has on that chosen day. Lunch is not included with one-day plans.

Expo Only. These registrations are FREE. They include a pass to the opening general session and the exhibit hall, where you can attend sessions and take part in the beverage breaks, the Pub Crawl, the Saturday Night Party and the Region Reception.


What are my payment options?

You are encouraged to provide a credit card during registration that will be securely processed via PayPal. Checks and wire transfers are accepted as well.

Paying by check? Simply check the box within the registration payment screen and you will receive an electronic confirmation within three business days. Checks are payable to: ARMA International, 11880 College Blvd., Suite 450, Overland Park, KS 66210

All checks received must be paid in U.S. currency and drawn on a U.S. bank.


Do I get a payment receipt?

Yes. To access the receipt, follow these steps:

  • Go to

  • MyARMA.
  • Log in with your e-mail address and password.

  • Click Order History.

  • Click the event title link in the Invoices section.


Why am I not getting the correct pricing?

Did you renew your membership recently or become an ARMA Professional Member? It can take 48 hours for the change to take effect. If after two days you are still receiving incorrect pricing, please e-mail us at conference@arma.org.


Where can I find the education schedule and the session descriptions and handouts?

The Education and Events Search features education session details, handouts, and information on all events at ARMA Live! You can also use the conference app (available in the summer) to create your own conference schedule and download session handouts. It is best to download session handouts because there will be limited copies in the session rooms, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.


Can I get credit for attending conference and pre-conference certificate training courses?

Attending the full conference will earn you 11.5 general IGP recertification credits and 20 CRM maintenance credits (this is the most we’ve ever had).


What is the dress code and the likely weather?

Business casual is the recommended dress code. Session rooms can sometimes be too cool for some participants, so consider bringing a light jacket or sweater. The October weather in Orlando is typically warm and sunny, with temperatures in the 75 to 84 degree range.


Can I bring a guest?

Have a guest register for an expo-hall pass, and he or she can join you on the show floor and also at the Saturday Night Party, the Region Reception, and the Opening General Sessions. The guest passes are free.


When do I get my name badge?

Name badges will be available for pickup when you check in at the registration desk.


What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Written cancellations received by August 23 will be subject to a penalty of 20% of all registration fees. Written cancellations received after August 23 and before September 22 will be subject to a penalty of 50% of all registration fees. There will be no refund to registrants who do not cancel before September 22 and are considered “no shows” at conference. We do permit—and encourage—substitutions.


Are there disability accommodations (ADA)?

Please complete this question during the registration process or contact ARMA staff at conference@armaintl.org to discuss accommodation needs.


Where will ARMA Live! Conference be in 2018?

In October 2018 we will convene in Anaheim, Calif.

What Can I Expect at Conference?

If you’re new to the conference, welcome! You can contact us at any time with questions:  conference@armaintl.org

When you register, you can also reserve your hotel if you wish.

In June, details of the education sessions and other pending events will be released. You’ll be able to view the details online or download them to our mobile app and create your own customized schedule.

In August our Flipped Virtual Conference is a starting point for the education you’ll receive onsite. If you’re a full conference registrant, you’re automatically eligible for the Flipped sessions.

Keep a watch for conference-related e-mails in September. They’ll help prepare you for the event with helpful tips and news.

Onsite, please stop by the registration desk as soon as you can. Early check-ins will help keep the lines shorter. Pick up your badge and conference guide when you check in.

The party begins on Saturday night; it includes a late-night sneak peek of the exhibit hall.

The general session starts on Sunday morning, kicking off three days packed with education, networking opportunities, and fun events.

It’s your final chance to enjoy all the expo hall has to offer. Participating exhibitors will supply the food and drinks. Plus, the grand prize giveaway winners will be announced! It’s October 16 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Now that you’ve absorbed all the great education and networking, take a little time to relax and enjoy Orlando.
