What's In It For Me?

ARMA Live! is more than an event; it is a movement that must be experienced in person!

What's in it for you?

  • Industry-leading speakers and facilitators sharing their expertise with this fast-growing and ever-changing profession
  • One-of-a-kind networking opportunities with your peers from across the country and the world
  • Educational sessions to help grow your career
  • And for non-members, a free one-year membership to ARMA International

These are just some of the many reasons to join your fellow professionals at ARMA Live! this year.

Reasons for Attending

The world of information management is evolving, as are the roles and responsibilities of those who manage information and data assets for organizations. Staying ahead of business trends, technologies, threats, and opportunities and continuing your career education are the reasons hundreds of professionals attend ARMA Live! each year.

Whether you’re looking to improve the skills of those who manage your company’s information assets, or if you’re an information manager looking to grow your career, you don’t want to miss ARMA Live! this year!

Need another reason? How about a free one-year membership to ARMA International! That’s right! By attending this year’s conference in Orlando on October 15-17, you’ll receive a free membership that escorts you into a world of information management tools and resources.

In fact, look at some of the benefits that accompany an ARMA International membership:

  • Enhanced knowledge and skills. You’ll have anytime access to hundreds of hours of free web seminars facilitated by RIM and IG thought-leaders around the globe; and access to dozens of discounted online courses and certificate programs, all of them on-demand as well.

  • Mentoring and networking opportunities. Our new Mentorship Program is an ongoing initiative that helps the less-seasoned professionals learn informally and “just-in-time” from those who’ve been through the RIM/IG trenches. It makes simple sense to have your less-experienced people avoid the workplace mistakes that others have made. By the way, the mentors love the program too. They find it engaging, fulfilling, and a lot of fun.

  • Discounted rates for the profession’s premiere annual conference. Our annual conference and expo is the profession’s single “must-attend” event. The networking opportunities alone are worth the discounted price. But there’s also the terrific education and speakers, the fun social events, and the expo hall that’s brimming with the latest technologies and solutions.

  • Free digital bi-monthly magazine. ARMA’s Information Management magazine is where the profession’s thought-leaders assemble six times a year. Each issue provides a wealth of best practices and cutting-edge ideas that will keep your team informed and up-to-date.

  • Access to chapters and regions. Professional members are eligible to join their local and regional chapters, where they’ll enjoy even more networking opportunities and have access to professional development opportunities.

Indeed, it makes great sense to be at ARMA Live! this year and to join ARMA as a member.

Where can I find the education schedule and the session descriptions and handouts?

The Education and Events Search, available in the summer, will feature education session details, handouts, and information on all events at ARMA Live! Can I get credit for attending conference and pre-conference certificate training courses?

ARMA International will request ICRM and IGP maintenance credits for the applicable conference sessions and Designation Academy sessions. The approved number of credits will be listed here once a determination is made, probably in the summer.

What is the dress code and the likely weather?

Business casual is the recommended dress code. Session rooms can sometimes be too cool for some participants, so consider bringing a light jacket or sweater. The October weather in Orlando is typically warm and sunny, with temperatures in the 75 to 84 degree range.

Can I bring a guest?

Have a guest register for an expo-hall pass, and he or she can join you on the show floor and also at the Saturday Night Party, the Region Reception, and the Opening General Sessions. The guest passes are free.
